Fri Jul 25, 2008 9:34am EDT

HOUSTON, July 25 (Reuters) - The Corpus Christi, Texas, ship channel reopened on Friday morning, according to the Corpus Christi ship pilots association, after being shut by Hurricane Dolly since Tuesday night.

Operations were normal on Friday morning along the Houston Ship Channel, the U.S. Coast Guard said. A 60-ship traffic jam that built up when the channel was closed for 36 hours due to Dolly has been cleared. (Reporting by Erwin Seba)
