SoundBite Communications sets IPO at 6 mln shares

WASHINGTON, Sept 26 (Reuters) - SoundBite Communications Inc. set on Wednesday its planned initial public offering at 6 million shares for an estimated price of $12 to $14 each.

The company, which provides on-demand automated voice messaging, said Cowen and Co. and Thomas Weisel Partners LLC are the lead underwriters for the IPO.

SoundBite also said in the amended filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it plans to list its shares on the Nasdaq under the symbol "SDBT" (SDBT.O).
