Citigroup bonds gain on capital injection

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Bonds of Citigroup Inc (C.N) gained after the largest U.S. bank said it is selling up to 4.9 percent of itself for $7.5 billion to the Gulf Arab emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Deals

The spread for Citigroup's 6.125 percent notes due in 2017 narrowed by 20 basis points on Tuesday to 185 basis points over U.S. Treasuries, according to MarketAxess data.
