Mexican homebuilder Geo net profit up 2.6 pct

MEXICO CITY, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Mexican homebuilder Geo (GEOB.MX) on Monday reported a 2.6 percent rise in third-quarter profit and warned it will post negative free cash flow of up to 1.2 billion pesos this year.

Geo said it earned 388 million pesos ($35 million) in the July-September period, compared with 378 million pesos in the year-ago period.

Geo also said it maintained its 2008 revenue and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) forecast. ($1 = 10.9490 as of end September) (Reporting by Cyntia Barrera Diaz; Editing by Gary Hill)
