Kellogg buys China cookie and cracker maker

CHICAGO, June 30 (Reuters) - Kellogg Co (K.N) said on Monday that is has acquired Zhenghang Food Company Ltd in northern China, moving into the cookie and cracker business in that country.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Zhenghang had about $50 million in sales in 2007.

Kellogg has sold breakfast cereal in China since the 1990s, but the acquisition announced on Monday allows it to expand its product line in that fast-growing country. (Reporting by Brad Dorfman, editing by Dave Zimmerman)
