US investment-grade CDS index narrows 7 bps-Markit

NEW YORK, Sept 30 (Reuters) - U.S. investment-grade credit default swap spreads narrowed about 7 basis points on Tuesday, as investors bet that Washington will work to revive a bailout plan to mop up problem mortgage debt.
