Icahn raises Temple-Inland stake to 8.3 percent
WASHINGTON, July 30 (Reuters) - Billionaire investor Carl Icahn raised his stake in Temple-Inland Inc. (TIN.N), a maker of packaging and building products, to about 8.3 percent from 6.7 percent, according to a U.S. regulatory filing on Monday. Icahn now holds a total of more than 8.7 million shares after buying additional shares in June and July, according to a filing made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Temple-Inland's recent proxy statement showed that Icahn held a 6.7 percent stake with more than 7.2 million shares as of March 27.
