By Nellie Andreeva and Kimberly Nordyke
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Annie Potts has signed on to co-star opposite "Hairspray" starlet Nikki Blonsky in the Lifetime original movie "Queen Sized."
"Queen Sized," premiering January 5, is the true story of an overweight teen (Blonsky) who takes a stand against bullying, becomes her school's homecoming queen and ends up with more than just a crown. Potts will play her mother.
The film marks Potts' first project for the women's cable network since her drama series "Any Day Now" wrapped its four-season run in 2002. She is shooting a guest role on ABC's "Ugly Betty."
