TABLE-US chain store sales drop 4.4 pct last week-Redbook

 NEW YORK, June 9 (Reuters) - Redbook Research on Tuesday released the
following seasonally adjusted weekly data on U.S. chain store sales:
Year-over-year: Week (w/e 6/06/09 vs year ago)        -4.4 pct
Year-over-year:Month (June 2009 vs June 2008)         -4.4 pct
Month-over-month: (June 2009 vs May 2009)             -4.3 pct
 The Johnson Redbook Retail Sales Index is a sales-weighted index of
year-over-year same-store sales growth in a sample of large U.S. general
merchandise retailers representing about 9,000 stores.
