PARIS (Reuters) - China has shown some responsiveness to global trade imbalances but should do more to encourage its yuan currency to rise, OECD chief Angel Gurria said on Tuesday.

China said last month that it would step up use of the yuan's exchange rate to bring better balance to China's international payments.

"You have had some flexibility, some responsiveness in terms of moving the exchange rate but not as much as probably would be warranted by the realities in the trade situation," he told Reuters on the sidelines of a news conference.
