"Ubisoft has no intention of making an offer for SCI-Eidos," a group spokesman told Reuters.

He was reacting to recent media reports that Ubisoft was stalking the company, he said.

SCi Entertainment Group Plc said last month that discussions were going on with a number of potential acquirers -- although it would not reveal their identities.

SCi owns the Eidos publishing label, which is behind the Lara Croft :Tomb Raider games.
