Fidelity hires ING Asia Pacific fund arm CEO Ryan

HONG KONG, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Fidelity International confirmed on Thursday it has hired Chris Ryan, the head of ING Groep NV's (ING.AS)(ING.N) Asia Pacific investment management arm, to help lead its operations in the region.

A spokeswoman for the affiliate of Boston-based Fidelity Investments, the world's biggest mutual fund company, said Ryan will start with the firm on February 18 as managing director for Asia ex-Japan. He will report to Brett Goodin, Fidelity International's Asia Pacific head. (Reporting by Jeffrey Hodgson)
