China train accident kills 18 -state TV

BEIJING, Jan 25 (Reuters) - A Chinese train hit a group of maintenance workers on the line, killing 18 and injuring nine, state television said on Friday.

The train was travelling from Beijing to the eastern coastal resort city of Qingdao, it added. No other details were immediately available. (Reporting by Ben Blanchard; Editing by Nick Macfie)
