(Reuters) - Factbox on swimmer Liu Zige of China who won an Olympic gold medal in the women's 200m butterfly on Thursday.

Age: 19 (date of birth: Mar 31, 1989)

Place of birth: Shanghai, China

Olympic debut in Beijing 2008

Liu took China's first swimming gold at the 2008 Summer Olympics, setting a new world record. She won the 200m butterfly in China's National Champions Tournament in 2007.
