Amazon Chief Information Officer to retire

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) said on Friday that Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer Richard Dalzell will retire by the end of 2007.

Dalzell has served in his current position since February, and previously acted as Amazon's chief information officer and senior vice president, Worldwide Architecture & Platform Software for Amazon.
