REYKJAVIK, Oct 10 (Reuters) - An International Monetary Fund (IMF) team visiting crisis-struck Iceland left on Thursday and Dutch officials are expected to arrive in the country on Saturday, a government spokeswoman said on Friday.

"The IMF left yesterday," the spokeswoman said. She said she did not have any information on the whereabouts of a British delegation that was due to arrive in Iceland on Friday.

Relations between Britain and Iceland have soured after the British government used anti-terror legislation to freeze Icelandic assets, saying it had to protect British savers.

The Netherlands is also seeking to protect savers who had deposited money in Icelandic bank accounts.

The IMF team's visit was billed as a fact-finding mission. Iceland's prime minister has said Iceland is undecided on whether it would turn to the fund, although many analysts believe it will need to.
