Daewoo Shipbuilding says wins $2.34 bln ship order

SEOUL, July 4 (Reuters) - South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Co (042660.KS) said on Friday it had received a 2.44 trillion won ($2.34 billion) order for 16 container ships from a European company.

Daewoo said in a filing to the Korea Exchange that it would deliver the ships by the end of June 2012 for an unidentified European shipper.
