Hyundai aims to up unit sales 9 pct in 2009-report
SEOUL, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Hyundai Motor Co (005380.KS), South Korea's top auto maker, aims to raise its global vehicle sales by 9 percent next year, although recession has hit demand around the world, a local internet news provider said on Thursday.
Hyundai, the world's No.5 auto maker along with its affiliate Kia Motors Corp (000270.KS), targets sales of 3.05 million vehicles in 2009, compared to an estimated 2.8 million units this year, the EDaily quoted an unnamed company official as saying.
