KT sees 2.6 trn won op profit in '12 after merger

SEOUL, June 1 (Reuters) - South Korea's KT Corp (030200.KS) said it was aiming for a 2.6 trillion won ($2.07 billion) operating profit in 2012 as it officially absorbed its mobile unit KTF as of Monday.

The merged KT is also targeting 22 trillion won in revenue in 2012, it said in a filing with the Korea Exchange.

KT said in January that it expected 1.8 trillion won in operating profit and 19 trillion won in revenue in 2009 for the combined company. ($1=1257.0 Won) (Reporting by Rhee So-eui; Editing by Jonathan Hopfner)
