North Korea says agrees to talks with South
SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea has agreed to a proposal by South Korea to open inter-Korean ministerial talks, Pyongyang's official media said on Wednesday, a day after it reached an energy-for-arms deal in international negotiations.
The state-run KCNA news agency said Pyongyang's head of delegation to inter-Korean talks had made the offer in a telephone call to his counterpart in Seoul.
"In the message, the head of the North side delegation agreed to the proposal for having a working contact between delegates for the opening of the talks," KCNA said.
