SEOUL, April 14 (Reuters) - Seoul stocks opened 1.8 percent lower on Monday led by exporters such as LG Electronics (066570.KS) and LG Display (034220.KS) after weak earnings from GE (GE.N) and downbeat consumer data pointed to a U.S. recession.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index was down 1.98 percent at 1,744.46 points as of 0002 GMT.
