Samsung sees single-digit gains in Q3 chip prices

SEOUL, July 13 (Reuters) - Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (005930.KS) expects average selling prices of dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chips to rise by a mid-to-high single digit percent in the third quarter, an executive said on Friday.

The world's top memory chip maker also sees prices of NAND flash memory chips growing by a mid-single digit in the third quarter, Yeongho Kang, vice president of Samsung's chip division, told analysts in a conference call.
