KEPCO wins $500 mln gas power plant deal in Jordon

SEOUL, July 17 (Reuters) - Korea Electric Power Corp (KEPCO) (015760.KS) said on Thursday it has won a $500 million project to build a gas power plant in Jordan.

Under the deal, KEPCO will be responsible for building the Al Quatrana plant and operating it for 25 years, the state-run power company said in a statement.

Shares of KEPCO were up 0.85 percent by 0143 GMT, trading at 29,700 won, underperforming the wider market's 2.01 percent gain. (Reporting by Angela Moon; Editing by Keiron Henderson)
