Seoul shares gain 2.1 pct on Hyundai Motor, LG=2

Foreign investors sold a net 395 billion won ($415.9 million) worth of shares on the main board, but domestic institutions bought a net 326 billion won as of 0630 GMT.

Retail investors sold a net 10.3 billion won.

Advancers outnumbered decliners at 651 to 172 with 52 titles ending flat.

Trade volume stood at 267 million shares worth 5.3 trillion won, compared with Wednesday's 272 million shares valued at 5.9 trillion won.

The March KOSPI 200 futures index <0#KS:> rose 3.60 points to 212.45 and the underlying KOSPI 200 spot index .KS200 added 3.97 points to 211.20.

The junior Kosdaq .KQ11 market rose 3.06 percent to 638.98.
