Samsung Heavy wins $701 mln order for drillship

SEOUL, Aug 18 (Reuters) - South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries Co (010140.KS), the world's second-biggest shipbuilder, said on Monday it had won a 729 billion won ($701.4 million) order to build a drillship.

The order is from an unidentified company in the Americas, according to Samsung's filing to the Korea Exchange. It said the vessel would be delivered by February 2012. ($1=1039.2 Won) (Reporting by Rhee So-eui; Editing by Keiron Henderson)
