Samsung SDI to jointly run PDP with Samsung Elec

SEOUL, July 1 (Reuters) - South Korean display maker Samsung SDI (006400.KS) said on Tuesday it had agreed to jointly run its plasma display panel (PDP) business with Samsung Electronics (005930.KS).

"The decision is to maximise cost reduction and improve our competitiveness in production and sales," Samsung SDI said in a filing to the Korea Exchange. (Reporting by Miyoung Kim; Editing by Keiron Henderson)
