Seoul shares fall after U.S. share loss, data

SEOUL, July 1 (Reuters) - Seoul shares opened lower on Wednesday after losses on Wall Street, with weakness in U.S. consumer confidence data weighing on sentiment, but Kumho Electric (001210.KS) rose after news it is studying a stake purchase in a local LED firm.

The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) was down 0.37 percent at 1,384.92 points as of 0007 GMT.
