China Western Mining says Goldman unit cuts stake

SHANGHAI, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Western Mining Co (601168.SS) said on Tuesday a unit of Goldman Sachs (GS.N) had reduced its stake in the firm to 4.8 percent.

The Goldman Sachs unit sold a 3.3 percent stake in the company, China's second largest lead miner and fourth-largest zinc smelter, according to a Western Mining statement posted on the website of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (www.sse.com.cn). (Reporting by Rujun Shen; Editing by Jonathan Hopfner)
