China Sept coal imports 3.7 mln tonnes-customs

SHANGHAI, Oct 17 (Reuters) - China imported 3.7 million tonnes of coal in September, down 2 percent from the previous month, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs on Friday.

The total imports for the first nine months of the year fell 16 percent from a year earlier to 32.37 million tonnes. (Reporting by Rujun Shen; Editing by Anne Marie Roantree)
