Exxon shuts Singapore refinery units for 6 weeks

SINGAPORE, March 2 (Reuters) - ExxonMobil Corp (XOM.N) said on Monday it has shut down a couple of units in its refinery and chemical plant in Singapore for six weeks of planned maintenance.

"We have commenced the shutdown of several operating units for planned maintenance from today and this is expected to last about six weeks," an Exxon spokeswoman told Reuters.

"The shutdown will affect a couple of units in the Singapore refinery and chemical plant."

The spokeswoman said that despite the shutdown, Exxon expects to be able to meet the product needs of its customers during this period.
