SINGAPORE, July 9 (Reuters) - The following are stories from Singapore newspapers on Thursday. Reuters has not verified these stories.

BUSINESS TIMES

- Neptune Orient Lines' (NEPS.SI) APL unit, China Cosco Holdings and 12 other container lines agreed to raise rates on Asia-U.S. routes, seeking to end a price war caused by slumping demand, overcapacity and "panic".

STRAITS TIMES

- Singapore's Ministry of Health is no longer tracking the total number of influenza A infections in the country after the World Health Organisation told countries that they were no longer required to submit regular reports on confirmed cases and deaths.

- The Marina Bay Sands (LVS.N) integrated resort will open in January or February instead of at the end of this year as previously announced. ($1=1.457 Singapore Dollar)
