- Indonesian police have arrested a Singaporean, Husaini Ismail, alleged to have plotted to crash an airliner into Changi Airport in 2001, according to Indonesia's Jakarta Globe.

- The government has stepped up efforts to control the spread of the H1N1 virus by requiring students and teachers returning from affected areas to stay at home for a week afterwards.

- Singapore firms' intangible assets shed $203 billion of value in the turbulence of last year, leaving the intangible assets of local firms at $27 billion or 11 percent of enterprise value, according to a Brand Finance survey.
