TOKYO (Reuters) - Taiwan online game company Gamania Digital Entertainment (6180.TWO) said on Wednesday that it plans to introduce five new game titles by the end of 2009 to boost its sales in Japan by up 40-50 percent for the next few years.

"We are finally on track," Kiyoshi Asai, Chief Operating Officer of Gamania's Japan unit, told the Reuters Global Technology, Media and Telecoms Summit in Tokyo.

"The Japanese market is becoming increasingly competitive, but even so Gamania Japan would like to exceed the market and achieve 40-50 percent growth," he said.

The Taiwan company set up its Japan business in 2001 and Asai said the unit is considering an initial public offering to raise funds in the future.
