-- India could become the world's fifth largest consumer market by 2025 if it undertakes the reforms necessary to sustain annual economic growth of 7.3 percent, McKinsey, the consultancy, forecasts.

-- A contracted unit of VODOne (0082.HK), the Hong Kong-listed Beijing-backed Internet video venture, has become the first officially approved online agent for China's popular welfare lottery, according to company chairman Zhang Lijun.

-- Japan's leading consumer finance companies have highlighted the severe impact of two damaging decisions passed against the sector by forecasting worse results than expected in the year just ended.

WALL STREET JOURNAL (www.wsj.com)

-- China's government can't agree on how to fix its ailing health-care system -- through private competition or more state services -- and has turned to the WHO, the World Bank, McKinsey and others for advice.
