Philippine man kills 8 in shooting spree

MANILA, May 19 (Reuters) - A Philippine man sprayed houses in a town outside Manila with bursts of automatic weapon fire killing eight people, several of them children, police said on Monday.

They said the man, who was apparently intoxicated, escaped after the shooting on Sunday in the town of Calamba.
