Britain's Adlington wins 400m freestyle gold

BEIJING (Reuters) - Britain's Rebecca Adlington won the Olympic gold medal in the women's swimming 400m freestyle on Monday.

Katie Hoff of the United States won the silver and Joanne Jackson of Britain the bronze.
