SYDNEY, June 4 (Reuters) - Rio Tinto Ltd/Plc RIOAX(RIO.L) said its Australian iron ore operations were so far unaffected by a disruption in gas supplies caused by an explosion at an Apache Energy (APA.N) gas plant.
Rio was taking seps to curtail gas usage in non-essential operations at its mines and shipping terminals to conserve gas during the crisis, a Rio spokesman said. (Reporting by James Regan)
