Citi launches A$1 bln floating/fixed guaranteed notes

SYDNEY, June 11 (Reuters) - The Australian unit of Citigroup (C.N) on Thursday launched on offer of A$1 billion ($811 million) in fixed and floating three-year notes, guaranteed by the Australian government, Citi said.

A A$500 million tranche of three-year fixed rate notes is expected to price at around 65-70 basis points above mid swap. The A$500 million three-year floating rate tranche is seen pricing around 65-70 basis points over 3-month BBSW.

Pricing is expected later on Thursday.

Citigroup Global Markets Australia is sole bookrunner. Senior co-managers are ANZ Investment Bank and National Australia Bank, while co-managers are Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Macquarie Investment Bank, and Westpac Banking Corporation. (Reporting by Wayne Cole; Editing by Jonathan Standing)
