Rio says completes $1.4 bln iron ore port upgrade

SYDNEY, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Rio Tinto Ltd/Plc (RIO.AX)(RIO.L) said it had completed an upgrade of its Dampier iron ore port costing $1.4 billion on time and budget.

Annual capacity of the port in Western Australia was increased to 140 million tonnes fron 74 million tonnes, it said. (Reporting by James Regan)
