Australia's Sigma says in Primary talks with Metcash

SYDNEY, April 22 (Reuters) - Australia's Sigma Pharmaceuticals Ltd (SIP.AX) and grocery wholesaler Metcash Ltd (MTS.AX) are in early talks over a possible joint bid for assets being sold by Primary Health Care Ltd (PRY.AX), Sigma and Metcash both said on Tuesday.

Primary plans to sell the consumer and pharmacy business of Symbion Health Ltd SYB.AX, which it recently acquired. (Reporting by Miranda Maxwell)
