A.B.C. Learning to update market on UK business

SYDNEY, June 27 (Reuters) - Shares in A.B.C. Learning Centres Ltd ABS.AX, Australia's biggest childcare company, were placed on a trading halt on Friday pending an announcement from the company regarding media speculation on the potential sale of its UK business.

Its shares were up 13.1 percent at A$1.165 on Friday before entering the trading halt. (Reporting by James Thornhill)
