Toll shares rise 7 pct on special dividend

SYDNEY, July 14 (Reuters) - Shares in Australia's Toll Holdings Ltd (TOL.AX) rose as much as 7.1 percent on Monday after it said it would pay a special dividend to shareholders with its stake in airline Virgin Blue Holdings Ltd (VBA.AX). For details: [nSYD114226].

By 0011 GMT, Toll shares were up 3.5 percent at A$6.66 while the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index .AXJO was down 0.8 percent. Virgin Blue shares were up 2 percent at A$0.515. ($1=A$1.03) (Reporting by Denny Thomas;)
