Toll Holdings says year net loss A$695 million

SYDNEY, Aug 26 (Reuters) - Toll Holdings Ltd (TOL.AX), Australia's top logistics group, reported a A$695 million ($600 million) loss on Tuesday after writing down the value of its stake in airline Virgin Blue Holdings Ltd (VBA.AX), the company said in a statement.

Toll said net profit from continuing operations and before items was A$258 million. ($1=A$1.16) (Reporting by Denny Thomas)
