Australia's Sonic raises $271 mln in placement

SYDNEY, Nov 13 (Reuters) - Australian healthcare provider Sonic Healthcare Ltd (SHL.AX) raised A$425 million ($271 million) in a share placement to part fund potential acquisitions, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

The new shares were sold at A$11.60 each, an 11 percent discount to its last traded price.
