Pfizer signs deal for Taisho's schizophrenia drug

TOKYO, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Pfizer Inc (PFE.N) said on Tuesday that it and Taisho Pharmaceutical Co (4535.T) have signed a letter of intent for the development and commercialisation rights of Taisho's schizophrenia drug candidate outside Japan.

Pfizer said the agreement would grant Pfizer the exclusive development and commercialisation rights for TS-032, a new schizophrenia drug candidate discovered by Taisho and in the pre-clinical stage.
