Nikkei rises 0.6 pct, Fast Retailing up on profit jump

TOKYO, July 10 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average rose 0.6 percent on Friday, with Fast Retailing, an operator of casual clothing stores, advancing 2.1 percent after reporting a jump in quarterly operating profit the previous day.

The benchmark Nikkei .N225 rose 55.56 points to 9,344.62. The broader Topix gained 0.5 percent to 877.94. (Reporting by Shinichi Saoshiro)
