Fujitsu to brief on new chip entity at 0600 GMT

TOKYO, Feb 12 (Reuters) - Japan's Fujitsu Ltd (6702.T) said on Tuesday it would brief on its new chip entity at 3 p.m. (0600 GMT), sending its shares up 7.1 percent at 0407 GMT.

Fujitsu, which has seen falling prices for its system chips, had said earlier it planned to make its struggling semiconductor operations a separate entity. (Reporting by Mayumi Negishi)
