Mizuho says paper losses total $1.4 bln in H1

TOKYO, Oct 31 (Reuters) - Mizuho Financial Group (8411.T), Japan's second-largest bank, said paper losses on its marketable securities totalled 142 billion yen ($1.44 billion) in the six months to Sept. 30. (Reporting David Dolan)
