TOKYO, June 4 (Reuters) - Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO)
(9501.T) plans to raise output of the 1,356-megawatt No.7 nuclear
unit at its Kashiwazaki-Kariwa plant to full capacity on Friday
as part of a test run, a company spokesman said on Thursday.
Japan's trade ministry gave TEPCO, Asia's largest utility,
permission on Monday to increase output from the reactor to 100
percent from 75 percent, which it hit on Sunday, as the utility
gradually increases power generation from the unit.
TEPCO restarted the unit on May 9 for the first time since
the world's biggest nuclear plant in northern Japan was forced to
shut nearly two years ago following a major earthquake.
