Nikkei slips 0.9 pct as exporters drag on yen

TOKYO, March 26 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average fell 0.9 percent on Wednesday after hitting a two-week closing high the previous day, led lower by exporters such as Canon Inc (7751.T) on a slightly stronger yen and after their sharp gains in recent sessions.

The benchmark Nikkei average .N225 was down 112.42 points at 12,632.80. The Nikkei rose 2.1 percent on Tuesday to post its highest finish since March 12.

The broader TOPIX index shed 1 percent or 11.82 points to 1,231.16. (Reporting by Aiko Hayashi)
